Argonia, a small town a short forty-five minute drive southwest of Wichita (map), is a fantastic place to raise a family. The school system is classified as 1A with pre-school through 12th grade being offered. Argonia has achieved one of the highest regional scores on the Kansas standard assessment tests. Their sports teams consistently place well in competition.

Argonia is a progressive community that is continually developing new facilities for the community. In the past few years, Argonia has built a new swimming pool, a new Argonia Mart (with fuel, pizza, movie rentals, convenience store items and groceries) and a new Chikaskia River Park and walking trail with a fantastic observation deck.

Argonia has a volunteer fire department and an excellent emergency medical service with two ambulances for quick responses to crises. There are hospitals in Harper, fifteen minutes to the west, and Wellington, 20 minutes to the east. In addition, Argonia has a medical clinic in town for non-emergency medical care. It is staffed by physician's assistants under the supervision of a medical doctor in Harper. The clinic building also houses dental offices.

Argonia's airport supports small private air traffic and provides a landing area for emergency airlift services. There is also an airport in nearby Wellington and Wichita's Mid-Continent is only 35 minutes away.
