How It All Began
Argonia MartThe Argonia Development Company was founded in 2003 for the sole purpose of promoting business and growth in the small town of Argonia, Kansas (map). The company is comprised of four members, all with family ties to the local community.

The first project of the ADC was to promote and develop a convenience store with pizza products and a full line of groceries. As populations of small towns decrease, more and more businesses of this type close. The ADC’s goal was to provide a quality facility and service that would benefit the community and have "staying power".

The Argonia Housing Development is the second project undertaken by the ADC. With support from the community and the city, the housing project is designed to give young couples with families the incentive to build a home in Argonia to help the community and school system grow.

The ADC has worked on other projects that will hopefully bring businesses to our small town and plans to continue to promote growth for Argonia.
